With firearms training in Maryland in mind, Frank and Paul Duffy (father and son) founded Spartan Firearms Training Group, LLC (SFTG) in 2016 with the mission of providing Maryland citizens with opportunities to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights safely and legally. We have been true to that mission.

With Frank’s Army Special Forces experience and our many combined years of firearms training with trainers who were Army Green Berets, Army Rangers, Navy Seals, Marines, Marine Special Operations, Canadian Special Forces, police SWAT officers, and competitive shooters we bring up-to-date firearms knowledge and skills to our customers.  We have the knowledge, skills, and experience to provide a fun, legal, and safe firearms training experience.

We have concealed carry permits from Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Utah

We are firearms enthusiasts with significant firearms and training experience who can provide firearms training to help customers qualify for:

Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL)
Maryland’s Wear and Carry permit
Utah Concealed Carry permit
Washington, DC concealed carry permit

We also offer skill-based courses such as:
Intermediate and Advanced Handgun and Rifle (AR-15 carbine)
Informed Situational Awareness (based on “Left of Bang” principles)
Emergency Casualty Care Course (E-triple C)
Active Shooter Defense
Women-Only: Introduction to Firearms (satisfies Maryland HQL requirements)
Individual, one-on-one firearms training by appointment
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
In addition to our regular training courses we also have a contract with Carroll Community College (http://www.carrollcc.edu/) to offer a monthly handgun qualification license class for Maryland residents who want to purchase a handgun.
