Our Intermediate Pistol course is for shooters who want to become more proficient with their handguns. It is of special interest to those who have a wear and carry permit. The design of the course requirews participants to have an intermediate level of skill with firearms manipulation and marksmanship.
The course builds on the participants’ skill-levels. The training starts with a review of firearms safety rules, firearms manipuation, and marskmanship. The course continues with movement drills, shooting at stationary and moving metal targets, drawing from the holster, and close-quarter drills.. Other drills include turn-and-shoot, slicing the pie, weak-hand shooting, one-handed shooting, and emergency and tactical reloading. The emphasis is on the tactical application of firearms skills.
Participants are encouraged to use their personal handguns, or they may rent ours. A minimum of 300 rounds of ammunition is required (but we recommend having 400 rounds), along with an outside the waistband holster, magazine pouch, a strong belt to hold the holster and pouch and eye and ear protection.
