Spartan Firearms Training Group Pistol/Carbine Class Description

Students will learn the basics (function, sighting in, ballistics, etc) of the AR-15 Carbine system.  A smaller focus will be  put on handguns, but we will cover the transition from primary to secondary firearm system.

No prerequisite

Required Equipment

Students will need eye protection, ear protection, a sturdy belt and weather appropriate clothing.

If you are using your own firearm you will need:

1. At least 3 carbine magazines and 2 handgun magazines. 
2. A bandoleer or battle belt to hold your carbine and handgun magazines 
3. An outside the waistband holster for your handgun. 
4. A sling (single or double point) for the transitions from carbine to pistol drills
5. We recommend bringing 300 rounds of .223 (carbine) and 100 rounds of ammunition for your handgun (bring 9mm ammunition if using one of our handguns).
