Tactical Pistol and Carbine Training Course
6-Hour Live-Fire Training (not for first-time shooters)
This Tactical Pistol and Carbine Training course is designed for shooters who already have a solid foundation with both pistols and carbines. It’s a great next step for those who’ve completed our beginner classes or who hold a wear and carry permit and want to continue building real-world, defensive skills.
We’ll start with a refresher on the fundamentals: safety, firearms handling, and marksmanship. From there, we move into dynamic, live-fire drills that focus on applying your skills under stress and in motion. You’ll shoot steel targets, engage in close-quarters scenarios, and work on skills like:
- Drawing from the holster
- Shooting while moving
- Shooting from behind cover
- Turn-and-shoot engagements
- “Slicing the pie” (room entry techniques)
- Weak-hand and one-handed shooting
- Emergency and tactical reloads
This is a hands-on, movement-heavy course that focuses on applying firearm skills in a tactical context—not just standing still on a flat range. Expect to move, think, and shoot under pressure.
What to Bring to Tactical Pistol and Carbine Training:
- 500 rounds of ammo minimum
- Holster (outside-the-waistband preferred)
- Magazine pouch
- Sturdy belt to secure gear
- Eye and ear protection
You may bring your own firearms or use ours. All participants must demonstrate safe gun handling and intermediate-level skills to participate.
