Spartan Firearms Training Group offers three options for bundling training courses:
Bundle #1: Handgun Qualification License (HQL) + HQL (Plus)
The basic HQL course provides training to help Maryland residents apply for their Maryland Handgun Qualification License. The HQL four-hour course is required in Maryland to purchase a handgun. The basic training requires students to take one shot with a handgun.
The HQL (Plus) course offers students the basic four hours of training but adds 100 rounds of shooting on a live-fire range.
Bundle #2: Maryland Concealed Carry Course + Utah Concealed Carry Course
Students enrolled in our Maryland Concealed Carry course can add-on training to qualify for the Utah concealed carry course. The add-on requires students to receive a instruction on Utah firearms law. The add-on training happens as part of the Maryland Concealed Carry course.
Bundle #3: Maryland Concealed Carry + Washington, DC Concealed Carry
Washington, DC became a “shall issue” jurisdiction last year. “Shall Issue” means that a state or jurisdiction MUST issue a concealed carry permit. Maryland, on the other hand is a “may issue” state, which means that the Maryland State Police may issue a concealed carry permit if the applicant has a “good and substantial” reason to carry.
The content for our Maryland Concealed Carry satisfies the Washington, DC training requirements. We updated the content to the Maryland Concealed Carry course to ensure that the training satisfied the DC requirements. The DC concealed carry curriculum also requires students to receive training in DC firearms laws.
We also offer the Maryland and Washington, DC training as stand-alone courses which means that a student who only wants the Maryland or DC concealed carry course does not need to take the other course.
